Our Projects
Texas State University Dialogue Series
Each semester Philosophy and Religious Studies faculty, majors, and philosophy graduate students from the Master of Arts in Applied Philosophy and Ethics (MAAPE) program of Texas State University choose a new set of eight or nine topics and design an interdisciplinary series of lectures, interactive presentations, and discussions around them. The Engaged Ecology Initiative host sessions each Friday during the series discussing topics related to the environment. Click here for the current schedule.

Engaged Ecology Discussion Group
Rethinking Our Mindset for a Sustainable Future
Our world faces unprecedented environmental challenges, from alarming biodiversity loss to the urgent threat of climate change. Tackling these issues demands a new mindset that prompts us to question our beliefs, values, and our very place on Earth.
Why a New Perspective is Essential
Through the lens of Engaged Ecology, we view the relationship between humans and nature as a collaborative partnership. This perspective emphasizes empathy, reverence, and care, guiding our actions and choices toward the natural world.
Join the Conversation
We invite you to join us in exploring our place on Earth. Our monthly dialogues feature readings, deep listening, and meaningful conversations designed to inspire personal and collective transformation.
